Since everyone is familiar with some shapes of glasses, many would love to learn how to draw glasses to design their cool glasses!
You’ve come to the right place if you’re one of those people.
This step-by-step guide to drawing glasses will show you how easy learning can be!
How To Draw Glasses
Step 1
To get started with this eyeglass drawing guide, let’s start with the eyeglass frames.
Specifically, in this particular step, we will edit the left side. The sides of the glasses consist of some curved lines and some straight lines on the side.
Make sure you leave a small gap in the top right corner of the goggles, as that is where we will be adding the bridge.
Step 2
In this phase of drawing glasses, we draw the bridge and the right side of the glasses frame.
For the bridge, you can use two curved lines coming out on the left side of the frame.
You can then draw the correct frame, which looks identical to what you drew in the previous step.
This gives you a nice set of matching frames for your glasses. Once that’s done, let’s move on to the next step!
Step 3
The thin part of the glasses that go from the frame to above the ears is called the temples, and we will draw the first one now.
The first extends from the left side of the glasses and is drawn with curved lines to create the thin stem of the glass’s design.
In the end, bend the part that goes over the ear sharply.
Step 4
You’ve drawn a temple for your glasses, so you shouldn’t have any trouble drawing another in this step of our glasses drawing guide.
Just draw the other temple on the right, like in the previous step, to finish the temples.
Finally, you can draw some additional lines on the sides to give the impression of the thickness of the glasses.
Step 5
Before moving on to the final stage of eyewear design, we need to add more details.
The main thing is to add lenses. These are drawn using squares that have rounded corners inside the eyeglass frames.
Now that you’ve added these final details, you can add a few before moving on to the final step.
You can use many fun ideas to add a twist to this design. If you are particularly creative, you can draw a face with glasses.
Maybe you could draw a selfie to show yourself wearing them! You can also draw clips or accessories on it or draw them on a table with other objects.
Step 6
For our reference image, we colored it with some light blue. This is just one of your many options for coloring your image. So you should let your creativity run wild!
Glasses can be of any color imaginable. So this is a great opportunity to use some of your favorite vibrant colors in your photo.
Once you’ve decided on the colors you want, you can have fun deciding what artistic media to use to make them stand out.
If you want a more subdued image, mediums like watercolor or colored pencils can be good options.
